Spirit animal
The Snake
The Master of Shedding
Essence
The Snake has left a thousand skins behind, and it is still here. It knows death and rebirth from the inside. Discreet, patient, charged with a quiet, humming energy, it stands at the threshold of the visible and the invisible. It is feared because it is not understood.
The oracle's message
« What you are living through is not an ending; it is a shedding. The Snake asks you to let go of the old skin, even if it kept you warm. »
The sigil
Eight axes, one imprint. In pale, yours.
Mantra« I let go of the old skin, and I am reborn. »

The Snake — across cultures
The Rod of Asclepius, universal symbol of medicine and healing.
The Kundalini, life force coiled at the base of the spine, awakening toward consciousness.
Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent, uniting earth and sky.
In love
You love through the body and through silence, with an intensity few guess at behind your reserve. You need a partner who knows how to wait, who does not ask you to justify yourself after every shedding, and who understands that your apparent coldness hides a slow heat. What you fear is being caught exposed, without a new skin, and biting the one who loves you before realizing they were not a threat.
At work
You work in depth: whatever touches the body, energy, healing, the transformation of people or systems. You shine in care, therapy, transition coaching, patient research, and anywhere someone is needed who can wait for the right moment without trembling. What drains you is constant exposure, surface chatter, and organizations that refuse to change skin while the old one is cracking everywhere.
Taming its shadow
Your shadow is the withdrawal when you are wounded, which leaves others facing a cold wall, and the venom that springs out when you are caught off guard. When you feel the bite rising, give yourself three breaths before answering: your poison is fast, your reply does not need to be. And when you withdraw, tell at least one person: I am retreating to shed, I will be back. That one sentence turns absence into process, and apparent indifference into trust.
When it calls you
The Snake calls you when a shed skin turns up on your path, literally or in your dreams, when a shiver climbs your spine with no visible cause, when what used to keep you warm begins to squeeze. It slides into your life at the exact moment a version of you has to die so the next can breathe. It asks you not to cling to the old skin, and to accept being fragile for a few days while the new one hardens.
A ritual
Write on a sheet of paper what in you no longer fits, a habit, a role, a fear, then burn it or bury it in the earth at nightfall, and afterwards note what you want the new skin to know how to do.
