Privacy

In short

Totem Animal requires no account and no e-mail address. Your quiz answers, reading history and preferences (first name, form of address) stay in your browser (local storage) and are never sent to our servers. The result link you share only contains your encoded answers, with no personal data.

What we collect

• Nothing server-side for the quiz. Your spirit animal is computed in your browser.
• Local storage: your reading history (up to 50), first name and form of address if you set them. You can erase everything from My profile or by clearing the site data in your browser.
• Audience measurement: Cloudflare Web Analytics, cookieless, aggregated statistics only.
• Technical logs from our host (Cloudflare): IP address, timestamp, requested page, kept briefly for security.

Advertising and cookies

The site is funded by advertising served through Google Ad Manager and Google Ad Exchange, and by advertising partners of the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF v2). Depending on your choice, these partners may use cookies and identifiers to show personalised or non-personalised ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud and limit frequency.

On your first visit from the European Union, a consent window lets you accept,refuse or customise these uses, partner by partner. Refusing does not prevent you from using the site: ads then become limited and non-personalised. You can change your mind at any time:

Social sharing

Share buttons open the networks in a new tab with a prefilled text; no social network script is loaded on totem-animal.com. The “story” image is generated in your browser and is not transmitted anywhere without your action.

Retention

• Local storage: until you erase it.
• Advertising cookies: per partner (13 months maximum for the consent itself).
• Technical logs: a few days.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability, and the right to withdraw consent. Since we keep no data about you server-side, most of this is exercised directly in your browser and in the consent window. Questions: contact@totem-animal.com. Hosting and transfers

The site is hosted by Cloudflare (global network, served from Europe for European visitors). Advertising partners may process data outside the EU under GDPR safeguards (standard contractual clauses).

Minors

The site is entertainment open to all; it does not target children under 13 and knowingly collects no data about them.

Nature of the content

Spirit animals, oracle messages and correspondences are entertainment and an invitation to reflect, with no predictive, medical or financial value.
